Throughout the 68-mile tour, a friendly guide will narrate all of the island’s stories and secrets. Your driver will take you along the 600 curves and 59 one-land bridges that make up this roadway. Whether you love jungle views or the history of the island, the Road to Hana offers everything that you could want. The Pools of Oheo

These gorgeous pools are fed by cascading waterfalls. Located only 15 minutes away from Hana, the pools are tiered and fed by Maui’s streams. Nearby, hikers can discover the Pipiwai Trail and paths that take them through bamboo forests.

Heavenly Hana Town

Hana is considered one of the last locations to find unspoiled frontiers in Hana. In this historic, peaceful village, visitors can enjoy the gorgeous Hamoa Beach and the botanical gardens at Kanahu Gardens. For a historic experience, check out the state’s largest Hawaiian temple at Hale Piilani.

Keanae Lookout and Peninsula

At this lookout, visitors can see all of Maui. Bring along your camera to photograph Maui’s verdant taro fields and striking black lava coast.

Kaumahina State Wayside Park

Spanning 7l8 acres, this park is an ideal place to stop and stretch your legs. A short hiking trail brings you face-to-face with native Hawaiian birds and plants. During whale season, you may be lucky enough to catch sight of a Hawaii’s humpback whales.

Kula Marketplace

If you need to stock up on souvenirs, the Kula Marketplace is the place to go. This marketplace houses Hawaiian crafts and art. From chocolates to homemade jams, you can find delicacies that were made on the island.

Hookipa Beach Lookout

This beach park is known throughout the world for its excellent windsurfing. Due to its dramatic views, Hookipa Beach has become popular for sightseers and photographers. The Hookipa Beach Lookout is on a cliff that overlooks the surfing portion of the beach. During wintertime, huge waves break against the short with blowing whitecaps. Bring along a camera because this is one of Maui’s most photogenic locations. If you are lucky, you may even see some of Hawaii’s green sea turtles while you are here!

Waianapanapa State Park

Known for the black sand beach known as Pa’iloa Beach, this park includes lava fields, caves and hiking trails. An ocean cave is on the east side of Pa’iloa Beach that can only be accessed through the ocean. Meanwhile, two freshwater caves can be found in another part of the park. In ancient times, these freshwater caves were used to wash kapa and prepare food.

Wainapanapa Black Sand Beach

Important Information

Each tour includes a picnic lunch that consists of a sandwich, bottled water, macaroni, canned juice, fruit slices and cookies. A continental breakfast in the morning features mini pastries, hot cocoa, 100 percent Maui grown coffee, whole fruit and hot teas. Tours leave the first pick-up location at 7 AM and return by 6:30 PM. Since there will some walking in the tour, wear comfortable shoes and clothes.
