Zipline the beautiful Botanical Garden
Big Island Zip Line at Botanical Gardens
Sometimes, an adventure is so thrilling it is experienced in a blur of motion – and sometimes, that blur of motion is because you’re on an action-packed zip line. Harness yourself in and fly through the tropics of Hawaii in an exhilarating tour of Zip Isle, located near the Hamakua Coast. This is a one-of-a-kind experience to bring new meaning to the popular Hawaiian saying, Hang Loose.
Also known as a canopy course, your journey starts near Kamaee Falls, one of many natural, breathtaking waterfalls on the Big Island. From here, you will soar through the rainforest taking in views of the volcano, the ocean (and possible whales if in season), and other wonders of the island.
Experience and Safety:
Plan to experience a mix of awe, adrenaline, and adventure as you zip up to 125 feet off the ground and cross a 150-foot suspension bridge near more waterfalls. There are 7 zips total and a dual racing zip at the end to challenge your friends.
The tour is safe – accredited by ANSI, ACCT, and PRCA – while also immersing you into deep into the wild. You will be led by a qualified tour guide who will ensure you are having a safe and enjoyable time at each stop. The whole course is a perfect opportunity to get some amazing video footage. Just make sure your camera is secure! You will be shown techniques to increase your speed while zipping for those that desire to go faster. Speeds start at around 12 mph and can get as high as 40 mph with some effort. A helmet and harness are provided and required, and water stations are available during the tour.
Times and Special Pricing:
Special pricing available for groups, military, and Kama’aina. Reservations recommended or walk-ins accommodated on a space-available basis. We are open 365 days a year and have many tour times available, including 9:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:30 PM, and often a night tour to zip under the moon. This one begins at sunset. Other custom tour times may be available.
Located at Botanical World Adventures, there will be plenty to keep you entertained before and after your zip line tour. Non-zipping family and friends are still a part of the adventure, following along from the forest trails as our zip liners whirl by. We also provide off-road Segway tours for another unique way to experience the rainforest. Take our Rainbow Walk, see some wild banana trees, and spot a few of Hawaii’s wild gecko population. Or, get lost in nature in the second largest Herbaceous Maze in the world – a true accomplishment if you can navigate your way out successfully. The maze’s hedges are pruned to 5 feet tall so parents can keep an eye on their little ones.
Guests can stay nearby in the Garden Home across the street where you will also be less than an hour’s drive from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, golf, the daily Hilo farmer’s market, Hakalau Veterans Beach Park, and nearby ATV valley tours. Botanical World Adventures also specializes in hosting memorable weddings and birthday parties.

Our tours are fixed times and we have very limited capacity. Although we work to increase capacity at planned dates due to known increased demand, we do not have spare capacity on demand. Due to the limited capacity, when we book your reservation others can not book that same space. Reservations cause us to turn down others that would fill that space as soon as you reserve. Therefore we have made the following limits on refunding cancellations:
We appreciate your business and adherence to our cancellation policy.
